EN

Born in 1965 in Focșani, he discovered the guitar in 1987 under the guidance of Professor Eduard Pamfil. He advised him to learn instrument building as well as playing, a profession that would make him internationally famous over the years. He interrupted his training as a performer and chose only the profession of guitar maker, starting his apprenticeship in the "Hora" factory in Reghin, and today he is one of the most appreciated classical guitar makers in Europe. Ambitious and perfectionist, Constantin Dumitriu travelled to Sweden in 2003 to perfect his skills with Alejandro Van der Horst, a disciple of the famous luthier Antonio Marin Montero, who changed his perception of guitar making. His instruments are becoming better and more sought-after, becoming in the possession of some of the world's leading classical guitarists such as Marco Tamayo, Costas Cotsiolis, Cătălin Ștefănescu-Pătrașcu and István Ferenc Beke.
